James Butler, Jr. was born to the late James and Zula Butler on June 30, 1951 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. He was the third child and oldest son of 10 children. He accepted Christ at and early age and united with the Union Baptist Church Kemper Springs. He was united in marriage to Florida Terry and to this union 2 children was born. He worked many years as a fork lift driver by trade. He was employed with Interstate Merchandise of Meridian Mississippi for over 30 years before retiring. After retiring he again entered the workforce at Prodona of Dekalb Mississippi where he was recognized as employee of the year before retiring. After a brief illness, on September 11, 2017 at his residence James entered into eternal life surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Zula Mae Butler, James Butler, Sr., two sisters Edna Butler and Brenda Butler Rush. He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Florida Butler Dekalb, MS; two sons, James (Linda) Lee, Porterville, MS; Jamie (Tyronda) Clayton, Biloxi, MS; one daughter Catherine (Tracy) Holliday, Preston, MS; four step children Arthur(Anesa) Terry, Fort Meade, Maryland; Lenda Nix, Barbara Lee, and Ginger Terry, Meridian, MS; four sisters Bobbie (Johnnie) Clark, Dekalb, MS; Mary and David Miller and Octavia (Ellis) Burton, Lauderdale, MS; Helen (Gentqualo) Grace, Dekalb, MS; three brothers Johnny Butler and Willie Butler and Debra, Dekalb, MS; Albert (Clementine) Butler; one uncle Tommie McDonald, Meridian, MS; one aunt Jessie Butler, special friend Wanda Chaney; 31 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
