Mr. Jonathan Sanders

Our world was blessed with Jonathan Sanders when his journey of this life began on March 9, 1976 in Meridian, MS to Ms. Frances Sanders and Mr. John M. Brown. Jonathan was known to many as “Mop Top” and was loved by all who knew him. Jonathan “Mop Top” lived his entire life in Stonewall, MS and graduated from Quitman High School in 1995. After graduation, he started his career working at Quitman Knitting Mills, Gardner’s Cleaning Company, Solar Group, Clarke County Co-Op and ClearSpan. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a proud father of two children: Jakenzie Sanders and Janice Sanders. He was a fun, dedicated and loving person. When you would see him, he would always have that smile on his face. He loved to party, hangout in his yard with friends and family. He loved fishing, horse riding, attending car shows and taking care of his animals daily. “Mop Top” was a man of honest; he would give you his last and didn’t ask any questions. He always made people feel welcome. If you knew “Mop Top”, you know what I’m talking about. Jonathan was not just any ordinary person; he was a person with much love, concern, passion, a person with heart. He was a generous, kind man and he will be missed by many. Many things can be said about Jonathan, but all who knew him knows what kind of person he was. he memory will be cherished by many and all the great times and laughter that was shared will be greatly missed. Jonathan departed this life on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. he is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lula D. Sumrall and Christie Smith Brow; (2) uncles, Edward Earl Sumrall and Jesse Earl Sumrall. Jonathan leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Frances Sanders and his father, John M. Brown, both of Stonewall, MS; two children: JaKenzie Sanders of Marion, MS and Janice Sanders of Stonewall, MS; sister, Lashonia (Eddie) Holloway of Pensacola, FL; three nieces, Sandra Inge, Bryanna Willis and a very special nieces, La’Ketra Bland, all of Pensacola, FL; three special nephews: MaTario Sanders of Meridian, MS; Malcolm Bland and LaKeith Bland, both of Pensacola, FL; two great-nephews: MaTario Sander Jr. and Desmond Elijah Sanders of Meridian, MS and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
