Ms. Mary Kate Hunt

Mary Kate Hunt was born on June 30, 1933 to the late Pearl Brown and Ruby Williams. She left this earthly realm on May 12, 2017. Mary Kate was the youngest of nine children. She was born, raised, and lived a full life in Meridian, MS. Mary was married to the late John Henry Hunt Sr. She was the mother of ten children, six who proceeded her in death: 3 sons, Charles Edwards Hunt, John Henry Hunt, and Kelvin Laverne Hunt, and 3 daughters Johnnie Mae Hunt, Earthalee and Earthleen (twins). She leaves to her loving memories with her remaining children, Fredrick Hunt (Gloria) (Norfolk, VA), Sharon Chambliss (Ira) (Meridian, MS), Willie Hunt (Cincinnati, Ohio), and James Whitlock (Kisha) (Houston, TX), Siblings who proceeded her in death and three brothers: TL Williams, Fred Williams, and Ruby Williams, and three sisters Helen Christine Williams, Lena Pearl Williams, and Jessie Lee Young. She behind two beautiful sisters Cornelia Williams (Athens, GA) and Pinky Hicks ( Meridian, MS) along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mary Hunt who was known to many as "Miss Mae Kay'' was well respected and loved by anyone who came in contact with her. She never met a strange, she made a friend everywhere she went. Her presence will be greatly missed.
