Mrs. Mildred Jean Dockery-Tims

February 15, 1934 - April 19, 2016

Mildred Jean Dockery-Tims was born to the late Elmer Dockery and the late Estella Melissa Thomas-Dockery on February 15, 1934 in Meridian, MS. She was the 2nd of five children. Mildred received her early education at St. Joseph Catholic School. She met and married Arthur Clifton Tims, Sr. She was a packer for Meek Moving & Storage until her health declined. As a young woman, she joined First Union Baptist Church and chose First Union for her children's Christian education. She was preceded in death by four sons, Charles Tims, Arthur C. (Dianne) Tims, Jr., Jimmy Lee (Teresa) Tims and John T. Tims; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Tims and a great grandson, David J. McCaleb.; three sisters, Lucille Glenn, Annie Mae Williams, and Mary Earline Dockery; one brother, Walter Dockery; two son-in-laws, Elmer Griffin and Robert Mason. She leaves to cherish her memories, seven daughters, Bobbie J. Mason, Gloria J. Griffin, Belinda J. Davis, Jacqueline Portis, Debra D. Tims, Mildred Williams and Patsy Hausley; four sons, Robbie Tims, Tracy (Regina) Tims, Ernest Tims and Larry Boyd; more than 50 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and a special family friend, James (Speedy) Kelso.
