Mrs. Octavia McDonald

April 3, 1914 - May 8, 2009

On April 3, 1914, God sent forth another of his special creations, Octavia Nelson. She was born that day to Ms. Lena Nelson. Confessing Christ early in life, she united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lauderdale County, MS. she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Isom McDonald and to this union, four children were born. Her husband, Isom McDonald, her mother, Lena Nelson, one sister, Mag Clayton, and three children, Leslie McDonald, Zulu Mae Butler and Anita Moore preceded her in death. During the evening hours of May 8, 2008, at the age of 95, the Lord sent down his angel to bring home our beloved one, she went home to rest in the house of the Lord. In celebrating her homegoing, she leaves to cherish her sweet memories: one son, Tommie Lee McDonald (Helen) of Lauderdale, MS; one sister, Henry A. Moore; twenty grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
