Mrs. Wilmer Curry

April 5, 1923 - March 24, 2015

Mother Wilmer Curry (91) was born April 5, 1923 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi to the late Will Hall and Georgia Ann Hearn. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Mother Curry was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and she loved on many more. She was a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great neighbor, and friend. Mother Curry accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Greenhill Missionary Baptist Church as a youth. She later moved to Russell and joined Good Hope CME Church, where she served on the Mother Board. She was a devout member. She enjoyed praising God. Mother Curry was married to the late Curtis Curry and of the union, they had thirteen (13) children. Mother Curry was a hard working woman. She worked as a short order cook, housekeeper, production line worker, baby sitter, and she also farmed. Mother Curry enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing and quilting. she attended Green Hill High School, Middleton School and she was also home schooled by her late aunt Winnie Patton. Mother Curry was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Curry; parents: Will Hall and Georgia Ann Hearn; children: Cee Bell Curry, Curtis Lee Curry, Linda Portis, and Marvine Curry; paternal siblings: Ad Hall, Booker T. Hall, Chestine Hall, ID Hall, Melvin Hall, Otis Hall, and Willie B. Hall; maternal siblings: Annie Bell clayton, Henry Hearn Jr., James Hearn, Jesse Hearn, Margaret Hearn, Mindel Hearn, and Willie G. Hearn; sisters-in-law, Alberta Ford, Dillie Mae Norris, Hattie Curry, Mable Knott, Mattie Lake, Nine McGrew, Susie Mae Brooks. Mother Curry leaves to cherish her loving memories: nine (9) children: Annie C. (Jim) Neal, Annie Bell (Hubert) Hill, Betty Bell, Bobbie Camara, Brenda (Rodger) Horton, Winnie (late George) Lee, all of Lauderdale County; and Georgia curry, Joyce Hurdle, Willie Ann (Woodrow) Edwards II, all of Cincinnati, OH; one (1) aunt, Annie Cake Patton; two (2) sisters-in-law, Ora Lee (late Jessie) Curry, Leona (late Mondell) Hearn; twenty-five (25) grandchildren, a host of great and great-great grandchildren, God children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
