Ms. Ada Mae McWilliams' Obituary
On May 16, 1939, Ada Mae McWilliams was the second born child of the late James McWilliams and Corine McCoy McWilliams she received her early education at Kemper County School. She was a faithful and hard worker until retirement. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who exemplified the true definition of unselfishness. She loved cooking and enjoyed fishing in her younger years. Her Ufe was dedicated to caring for her family. On Thursday, June 8, 2023, Ada was called home to eternal rest at the age of 90 years-old. She was preceded in death by three brothers: James McWilliams Jr., Willie V. McWilliams and Roosevelt McWilliams; two sisters: Dorothy McWilliams and Irene Burrage; two sons: Gary Houston and Norris Houston. Her memory will be forever cherished. She leaves to mourn her passing one son: Timothy Houston; Her grandsons Garon (Lakesha) Houston, Eric (Stephanie) Houston, Gavin Houston, Gaston (Alexandria) Houston. Her brother Eugene McWilliams (Bettina) Davenport, IA; sister Chrisne McWilliams 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and a host of nieces and nephews.
