Mrs. Addie Lewis' Obituary
Addie Mae Watkins Lewis was born in Newton, Mississippi to the late Herman and Betty Watkins on April 3, 1935. She was called to rest and departed this life on Friday morning, February 21, 2020 at her residence in Meehan, Mississippi.
In February of 1957, Addie married C.T. Lewis and they remained joined in holy matrimony until death parted them when he departed this earth in 1989.
Addie loved hats, hats, and more hats, but most of all she loved God and she loved reading and studying her Bible. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren every chance that she got. Her infectious laugh will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Addie, affectionately known as “Mother” and “Nana”, to her family is survived by: her four sons: Charles (Deloris) Watkins, Jacob “Brother” (Vicara) Lewis, Lamar (Felecia) Lewis, and Ralph “Peewee” Lewis; her four daughters: Gloria “Sister” Dancy, Sheryl Lewis, Sandra “Tiny” (Curtis) Brown, and Exie “Ruth” Davis; forty four grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
