Mrs. Addie Hollingsworth Williams' Obituary
Addie Hollingsworth Williams was born on April 3, 1920 in Shubuta, Mississippi to the late Will and Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth. Addie was the fourth child born to this union. Addie moved to Meridian as a young woman and worked as a house keeper in various private homes in the city. After moving to the Savannah Grove community, she united with the Savannah Grove Baptist Church where she attended regularly until her health failed. She was affectionally known to her family as "Gallie" or "Mom Gallie" and to friends as "Mrs. Gallie". Addie resided at the James T. Champion Nursing Facility until she was called home on January 17, 2016. She truly loved God, her family, and church family. Addie is preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mary E. Hollingsworth; two sisters: Bertha Hollingsworth, Helen Hollingsworth; and three brothers: Johnny Hollingsworth, Governor Hollingsworth, and Howard Hollingsworth. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Bertha Kimbrough of Meridian, MS; one niece Bettie Cook of Bridgeport, CN; Four granddaughters: Sherria Kimbrough, Llnda Hodges (Arthur), Barbara Robinson, and Helen Johnson (Stanley); Two grandsons: Willie G. Kimbrough and Michael Kimbrough Sr. (Cathy) all of Meridian, MS; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
