Mrs. Adelaide Cherry Wooten's Obituary
Adelaide Cherry Wooten was born March 10, 1928 to John Cherry and Estoria Brown Cherry. She was ninth of twelve children. She was married to the late Lesco Wooten. From this union jive children were born,· Ollie, Helen, Charles and Jimmy. Her son Bennie preceded her in death. Five brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death. She attended school in DeKalb, Mississippi. She joined New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and faithfully attended until her health/ailed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was an awesome cook, loved to make people laugh, a great babysitter for her grandchil-dren (a job that she loved to do). She was a buddy, a pal, a friend and a mother of all mothers. She leaves behind; two daughters: Ollie Thompson, of Meridian, Mississippi, Helen Reed (Clinton) of Tustin, Calif or-nia, two sons Charles Wooten and Jimmy Wooten of Meridian, Mississippi, eight grandchildren; Randy Thompson, Jeffrey Wooten, Danielle Thompson, Lashawnda Wooten, Marcus Wooten: of Meridian, Mississippi, Tiwana Reed and Jeremy Reed of Tustin, CA. Six great grandchildren; Natalie Herlong, Janeshia Johnson, Aleah Johnson, Karmella Sims, Jace Wooten all of Meridian, Mississippi and Dallas Jones of Memphis, Tennessee. • One brother; Johnny Cl,erry (Marga·ret) of San Francisco, CA. One sister Georgette Grady of St. Louis, Missouri. A host of nieces and nephews. A loving friend of the family Claudia Grace.
