Mr. Albert Barfield, Jr.'s Obituary
Ecclesiastes 3: 1 states that, "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die." Albert Barfield, Jr., was called home in God's time on August 25, 2020 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH. He was born on September 25, 1957 in Kemper County, MS to the late Albert and Savannah "Cryer" Barfield. Albert "The Bull" Barfield, Jr., played football and ran track at Georgetown College and majored in Physical Education and Recreation, where he met Yolonda Kelsor. They married in 1982, and this union was blessed with a son, Albert Hunter Barfield, III. Albert received great joy from working on several prominent horse farms as a horseman. Also, he and Hunter worked together driving trucks until Albert retired for health issues. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lee Naylor and Betty Jean Marshall. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Hunter Barfield, III and his daughter, Destin Strauss. His former wife, Yolonda Kelsor; friend Bettye Williams; brother-in-law, Earl Kelsor; brother James (Kate) Barfield; sisters Sallie Jimerson and Sarah Phillips. A host of nephews and nieces; great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
