Mr. Albert Crowther's Obituary
Albert J. Crowther was born to the late Monroe Crowther and Bertha Clark Crowther on September 1, 1938. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and he joined East Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Albert attended Galilee and Bailey High School, and later graduated from Harris High School. After graduating he joined the United States Army, where he served active duty from 1957 to 1961. He was later employed at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Corp. where he held numerous positions and retired. He was a Deacon for 30 years before he was called to the ministry in April of 1998. Albert was a devoted member of East Mount Moriah where he served numerous roles: Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Trustee, Associate Pastor, and Vice President of First New Hope District Congress. Albert departed this life on April 10, 2021 to be with his Lord and Savior, at the Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Luecendia Crowther, his father Monroe Crowther, his mother Bertha Crowther, four brothers Rudolph Mosley, Fred Crowther, Lawrence ,Crowther and James Crowther, four sisters Ernestine Beck, Molly Ruth Bridges, Panzy Lee Lawrence and Lucy Nelson, and three daughters Minnie Moore, Evonne Moore, and Molly Crowther. Albert leaves to cherish his memories: Four sons Albert (Jackie) Crowther, of Meridian, MS; Laverne Crowther, of Meridian, MS; Richard (Cat) Moore of Meridian, MS; and James Moore of Gulfport, MS. Three daughters Civie Crowther of Meridian, MS; Linda (James) Sanders of Meridian, MS; and Sarah (Tyrone) Robinson of Gulfport, MS. One granddaughter Chyna Crowther of iyt:eridian, MS. Two brothers Charles (Paris) Crowther of Meridian, MS; Harlon Crowther of Meridian, MS. One sister Alma Hubbard of Saint Petersburg, FL; Four sister-in-laws Christell (Rev. Lawrence) Hill of Meridian, MS; Nancy (Willie) Tucker of Meridian, MS; Creasie Mae Crowther of Meridian, MS and Patricia Moore of St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
