Mr. Albert Harris' Obituary
Albert Harris was born September 15, 1935 to the late Joe Harris, Sr. and Louise Powell Elbey in Lake Providence, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Harris; his sisters, Berry Linder and Johnnie Charles and his brothers, Mytris and Joe Harris.
He received his formal education at East Carroll Parish in Lake Providence, LA. He furthered his education at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, WI. He met and later married Susie McCray and they were together for 55 years. He attended St. Mary Baptist Church in Lake Providence, LA and St. Mark AME Church in Milwaukee, WI. He was employed as an avid cement finisher in the construction industry. After retirement, they moved back to her hometown of Quitman, MS and joined James Chapel United Methodist Church in the Rocky Community. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, talking, and riding his lawn mower. He will be greatly missed.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Susie Harris; his sons, Jeffery (Gwen) Harris of Chicago, IL, Michael (Anette) Harris and Darwin Turner both of Milwaukee, WI; his daughters, Caroline Gray and Itaiga Turner both of Milwaukee, WI; his sister, Emma Sarden of Port Arthur, TX, his sister-in-law, Ludrick Cameron Jr. of Quitman, MS, Andrew (Keyuana) Cameron of Memphis, TN and Cecil (Catherine) Cameron of Quitman, MS; his special nephew, Pierre Ruffin of Quitman, MS; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
