Mr. Albert Roberts' Obituary
Albert Roberts was born March 8, 1959, in Meridian, MS to the union of the late Melvin and Lucille Roberts. He was one of nine children three of which, Melvin Roberts Jr., Lorie Ann Roberts Jackson, and Larry Roberts, preceded him in death.
At an early age, Albert dedicated his life to the body of Christ and attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church as a youth. He attended the Meridian Public School District and was a graduate of the class of 1977. Albert worked over 20 years at Mississippi Music (Music and Arts). As a teen, Albert played basketball, which lead him to be an avid sports fan.
With his spare time being spent watching "the game", no matter the sport. Albert also greatly enjoyed fishing, a skill he was taught by his late father, until his health started to decline.
He had a great sense of humor with his favorite movie being Friday After Next, which he knew line by line. He had a caring, gentle spirit and was a devoted son, father, brother, and "unk".
Everyone who had the honor to know Albert, will greatly treasure his impact on their lives, either through love, friendship, or mentorship. He has left us with many fond memories of him.
Albert departed to eternal life on December 27, 2023.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter Laquanda Roberts, two brothers: Herbert and Kenneth (Robin) Roberts; three sisters: Jackie Antley, Erma Roberts, Cathy Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
