Mrs. Alberta Truitt's Obituary
On November 11, 1944, Alberta Dollison-Truitt was born to the late Bobbie Jean Horton and Mose Dollison. She was raised by George Trotter along with her four step brothers: the late Pete Trotter (Miami, FL), the late Tom Trotter (Fort Pierce, FL), W.R."Putt" Trotter (Fort Meyers, FL), and Melvin Trotter (Houston, Texas). Ms. Truitt had one stepsister Martha Trotter (Houston, Texas). She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church (Holly Ridge, MS) under the leadership ofC.D. Dixon. She married the late Booker T. Truitt in 1963; in this union seven children were born: Bobby (Doretha) Truitt (Memphis, TN), Mary (Wayne) Smith (Meridian, MS), Debra Truitt (Fayetteville, NC), Earnest (Kerri) Truitt (Lenexa, Kansas), Rolanda Truitt (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). She leaves to cherish 19 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Booker T. Truitt (2017), Sharon Hairston ( daughter,2002), Timmy Truitt (Kristy)(Son,2019) Bobbie Jean Williams (Sister, 2009), Mose Dollison (Brother,2017).
