Ms. Alberta Wilson's Obituary
Alberta "Sister Baby" Wilson was botn May 14, 1940, in Meridian, Mississippi. Her parents, brothers Fred and Ruby James, sister Claudia Tyler, son Leon Wilson, and grandson Terrence Henderson, all preceded her in death. Alberta confessed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill M.B. Church. She remained a member until her health failed. After graduation from high school, she attended Alcorn State University. Alberta was employed with F. G. Riley Memorial Hospital for thirty-one years. After retirement, she enjoyed the company of farriily and friends. Alberta truly loved her family ... immediate and extended. She was known to be an excellent cook and always had a kia.d word of encouragement for those she loved. She was a Daughter of Isis until her health began to fail. After a lengthy illness, the Lord called Alberta to her heav:enly reward on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She leaves to mourn five loving children: Dorothea Wilson, Decatur, Georgia; Shirley Barner, Clinton, Mississippi; Linda Wilson, Jackson, Mississippi; Kenneth Wilson, Lithonia, Georgia; and Ethel Easley, Meridian, Mississippi. Ten devoted grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren will forever long for her sweet, loving care. Also mourning her loss are her siblings: Rev. Leroy Wilson (Laurene), Detroit, MI; Audrey Moore (Pelmer), Philadelphia, MS; Mildred Copeland, Bronx, NY; Dorothy Moore, Meridian, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Additionally, her caregiver, Varnicia Ward will miss her "Madear", dearly.
