Mrs. Alfronette "Dinky" Hanible Davis' Obituary
Alfronette Hanible Davis was born August 17, 1958 to the late Calvin and Cora Lee Windham Monroe. Growing up in Meridian Alfronette was known by family and friends as "Dinky". Alfronette graduated from West Lauderdale High School at age 17. One of her first jobs was lngall's Shipyard in Pascagoula as a welder. As a youth she was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bailey, MS. Her love for the Lord led her to fellowship with other congregations ending with Faith Tabernacle Christian Center where she is church mother, bus driver and choir president. Alfronette has always been passionate about her Lord and His Glory, which she portrayed in every aspect of her life. She had a unique love for all things that glittered and shined which she called, "What Nots". She had a gift of taking the oddest of nothings and turning them into the most amazing somethings. Throughout her life, "Dinky" as she affectionately known, constantly seeked to improve herself as well as shine as a light of Strength, Love and Knowledge for anyone she encountered It is these characteristics which she passed on to her children, family and friends. In addition to raising six children of her own, Alfronette extended her heart and home to church and community, giving her the title, "Mother Alfronette. " She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Cora Lee Windham Monroe, a brother, De Wayne Monroe, grandmother, Annie Jennings, daughter-in-law Tanya Hanible and a sister-in-law Mary Ruth Monroe. As she now rests with her Lord and Savior, Mother Alfronette "Dinky" Hanible Davis leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Johnny Earl Davis, sons: Monico(Robin)Monroe, Killeen, TX, Jonathan(Amanda)Hanible, Newton, GA, Calvin Davis, Meridian, MS and Joshua(Judith)Hanible, Tupelo, MS, her daughters, Henrietta Hanible and Tareco Davis, Meridian MS., her brothers; David Monroe, Larry"L.C. "(Juanita) Monroe and Charles (Mary) Monroe, Philadelphia, MS, her sisters: Lela(Carl) Williams, Philadelphia, MS, Sharon(Johnny) Monroe, Meridian, MS, Connie Shannon, Glenview, IL, Emma(Leemon)Riley, Flora(Wayne)Peeble, Philadelphia, MS, Evon Monroe, Renee Young and Shelia Wiley, Meridian, MS, grandchildren: Terica, Monica, Leah, and Mikala Monroe, Kelly Cowles, Steven Drewery, Sean Scott, Angelina Hanible, Robert Hanible, and Josh, Jr. Hanible, mother-in-law Mattie Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.
