Mr. Alvin Charles Essix's Obituary
Alvin Charles Essix was born June 25, 1959 to Mrs. Veta L. Essix and the late Thomas H Essix, Sr. Alvin was born at home. He was the third child born to this union. Alvin was baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. J.R. Porter. Alvin was educated in the Meridian Public School system. He completed high school from Meridian Highs School in 1977. After high school, he went to work at Meridian Junior College, where he remained employed until his retirement in 2009. Even after retirement, Alvin stayed busy doing yard work, and even still working other part time jobs. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Essix, Sr., his paternal and maternal grandparents, 6 aunts, and 4 uncles. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Shatekia Essix Nabors of Tupelo, Mississippi; his mother, Mrs. Veta L. Essix; brother; Thomas H, Essix, Jr.; sisters, Anita Essix Brown, Brenda Essix Dorothy Penry, and his baby sister, Shelia Essix, who has been by his side since the beginning and till the end. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
