Ms. Angelia M. Hopson's Obituary
On March 8, 1966, Johnnie Mae and Jimmie Hopson were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Angelia Marie Hopson. Angelia was born in Meridian, MS, and later moved to Chicago, IL. Angelia accepted Christ as her Savior early in life and continued to profess his saving grace unto her death. Angelia attended Meridian Public School and was a graduate of Meridian High School class of 1984. She furthered her education at ITT Tech in Harvey, Illinois, where she received her associate degree as a registered nurse. Angelia worked for Southwood Preventions, providing care in her area of passion. Angelia departed this life, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at McNeil Hospital in Harvey, IL. She is proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, John Cole, Sr., and Margie Johnson-Cole of Meridian MS. Her paternal grandparents, Deolar, and George Hopson of Lauderdale, MS and a beloved nephew, Vanduras Hopson. She leaves to treasure her life's journey, her parents, Johnnie Mae and Jimmie Hopson of Meridian, MS, a special friend, Keiwanna Brantley of Harvey, IL and a special family member, Jimmie Ray Lewis of Meridian, MS, three children, a son, Antonio Hayes, a set of twin girls, Tiffany and Tabitha Hopson all of Meridian, MS and one grandchild, Nevaeh Hayes. Two sisters, Dynell Goldsmith of Meridian, MS, and Tywana Toussaint of Memphis, TN. Two brothers, Jimmie Raddell (Bernice) Hopson of Memphis, TN, and Tyrone Hopson of Meridian, MS. Mourning her death is ten nieces, eight nephews and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-niece, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
