Mrs. Annie Maxie Herlong's Obituary
Ms. Annie Maxie Herlong was born Oct. 29, 1941 to the late, Mary Lee and James Herlong, Sr. She was the fourth of nine children. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was united and baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church in Cuba, AL. She was a nice, sweet and loving mother who had a smile that would brighten the darkest room. She was a strong, independent woman who would open her door and welcome you into her home. She was a firm believer that if you put God first, all things are vossible. On January 18, 2019, at Bedford Nursing Home Facility in Morton, MS, Annie Herlong went home to be with her heavenly father. She was preceded in death by both parents, Mary Lee and James Herlong, Sr.; a sister, Mattie Jane Webb; a brother, James Herlong, Jr.; a great grandson, several nephews and a niece. Annie leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Bobby McClinton (Jennifer) of Jackson, MS and Michael McClinton (Debbie) of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Mary Alice Reed (Tommy Lee) of Toomsuba, MS, Tweet Ester Hare (Allen) of Marion, MS and Odessa Jones (Jasper) of Enterprise, AL; three brothers, Hosea Herlong of Birmingham, AL; Sylvester Herlong, Sr. (Grace) of Lauderdale, MS and Moses Herlong (Freda) of Demopolis, AL; a sister-in-law, Alberta Herlong of Lauderdale, MS; seven grandchildren, some great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
