Mrs. Annie Hodges' Obituary
Her Beginning:
On November 10, 1952. Annie was born to Andrew and Mamie Hawkins. Annie was baptized at an early age, and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Meridian MS.
Her Journey:
She attended Meridian High School class of 1971. After high school Annie work at Sak-N-Save where she was known as the "Cake Lady" for many years. Then she went on to work for James IGA as the infamous cashier that everyone in the community loved. She continued to share her love and dedication by working as a "Foster Grandparent" in the school district.
Her Impact:
Annie cherished her role as a loving and caring daughter, mother, foster mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, very special and loyal friend, and coworker.
Her Finale:
On Friday May 24, 2024, Annie Mamie Hodges was called home leaving her daughter Stacey Hodges, granddaughter Carlesha Hodges, and great-granddaughter Angel Lashey. Bonus children/grandchildren: Arnetra, Rodriques, Tyrece, Lavondra, Raymona, Jermyia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Annie was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mamie Hodges, husband Danny Hodges, son Tracy Hodges, and sister Betty Hawkins.
