Mrs. Annie Lee Kelley's Obituary
Mrs. Annie Lee Kelley was born in Sweetwater, Alabama June 6, 1936. She was born to the late James Prince and the late Stella Carter. She was a faithful member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and served on the kitchen committee. She was also a foster grandparent and loved her kids dearly. She loved and enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and friends. Some of the family favorites included the fish, golden brown hush puppies, and the mini sweet potato pies. Her infectious smile would light up the room. If you had ever met her, you would never forget her. Sharing laughs and jokes with her family were some of her happiest times. She enjoyed sharing stories from her childhood early years and life experiences. To her children, family, and friends she leaves a legacy of strength and courage. God called her home Sunday evening October 6th, 2013 at 6:50 pm in Rush Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, three sisters, two brothers, and two daughters. She leaves to cherish loving memories two daughters Margaret (Bobby) Seals, Barbara Price, Meridian, MS, and one son Freddie (Kimberly) Brown, Houston, TX, three sisters, Mattie Prince, Crocket, TX, Margienell (Willie) Armstrong, Houston, TX, Lula Mae Austin, Quitman, MS, three brothers, Fado (Dorothy) Prince, Houston, TX, Robert (Elnora) Bolden, Houston, TX, James Prince, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, seven sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, two special friends, Cassandra Jennings and Dessie Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
