Mrs. Annie McAboy Kirksey's Obituary
Mrs. Annie Bell (Bay May) McAboy Kirksey was born December 12, 1944 to the late Tom and Ethel Lee McAboy in Cuba, Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Morning Star Baptist Church, Cuba, Alabama. She received her education in the Sumter County School System. She has four children and was married in holy matrimony to Tillman Kirksey. In 1971 her family moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she remain until her death. Annie departed this life on May 31, 2019 at Merit Health Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Those preceded her in death were her husband, Tillman Kirksey, her parents, Tom and Ethel McAboy, her sister, Eloise (Pootnanny) Moore and one grandson, Matthew Kirksey. Those she leaves to cherish her memory are four children: Jimmy Edward, Gulfport, MS; Susan Edward, Hattiesburg, MS; Randy Kirksey (Helena), Lilburn, GA and Danny Kirskey, Atlanta, GA; a devoted granddaughter, Tiffany Kirksey of Hattiesburg, MS who was by her bedside when she passed away. Five brothers: Tommie (Mary Jean) McAboy, Robert (Vallie) McAboy, Johnny (Rose) Austin, James Ray McAboy, Eddie (Shirley) McAboy all of Cuba, AL; two sisters: Christine (Aubry) Delaine and Dorothy (Herbert) Hawkins all of Cuba, AL,· seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
