Annie Short was born July 29, 1957 in Meridian, MS to the late Reverend Weldon Short and Addie Ruth Hampton. She was the oldest of 8 children. Annie gave her life to Christ at an early age, uniting with MT. Zion Church.
Annie started living freely in her early twenties full of love, laughter and joy. Annie had four beautiful children: three boys and one girl.
Annie made her peaceful and graceful transition from Earth to Heaven on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father Rev. Weldon Short and her brother James Short.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a loving mother Addie R. Short, a loving and devoted daughter Angela R. Short of Ontario, CA, three devoted sons, Santoe L. Short, Travis V. Short, and Terry J. Short of Philadelphia, MS and Dekalb, MS; three brothers Larry D. Short of Meridian, MS, Jeffrey Short and Fredrick Short of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Lisa Short, Darlene Short of Los Angeles, CA, Alma Carr of Alabama; thirteen grandchildren, three special friends, JD, Lamar, and Charles. Six loving sister-in-laws, Angelina Cole Genail Moore, Phyllis Williams, Patricia Griffin, Michelle Pollack, Minnie Hudson all of Philadelphia, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and loved ones and her own personal nurse Honesty Broadnax.
