Mrs. Annie Laura Trotter's Obituary
On August 5, 1934 Annie Laura Trotter was born to the late Marzean Pope Sr. and Nancy Evans Pope in Shubuta, Mississippi. She was the youngest of eight children. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Marzean Pope Jr., sisters; Willie Mae Pope, Pinkie Pope Graham, Mamie Pope Purvis, Audie Pope Ranson, Detta Pope Evans, Zella Pope Bailey and two grandchildren. She was united in Holy Matrimony on June 4, 1950 to Luther Trotter, to this union was born a family of five boys and three girls. After being a homemaker for many years she went to work at the Magnolia Star Theater. She later worked and retired from Rush Foundation Hospital. While at Rush she worked in the nursery, caring for and nurturing the newborns. In 1991, she went to Katy, TX to help her youngest daughter with her toddlers while she worked. She eventually made Katy her home. Laura's journey of life ended on March 13, 2018, at her residence in Katy with her daughters by her side.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory: Her children: Luther Jr. (LaFretta), Jacksonville, FL; Willie Lee (Shirley) Meridian, MS; Raymond, Killeen, TX· Barbara, Robert (Lydia), Jimmy (Sherry), Linda, all of Meridian, MS; and Gloria (Robert), Katy, TX· a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
