Mr. Anthony Jerome Brown, Sr.'s Obituary
Elder Anthony Jerome Brown, Sr. was born in Meridian, Mississippi on October 14, 1961 to the late Robert Brown Sr. and Mary Ruth Bassett Rancher. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the Thirty-First Avenue Baptist Church at an early age. He later joined The Rock of Ages Church. He attended TJ Harris High School and Meridian High School. He then joined the United States Army Reserve where he faithfully served his country. He was preceded in death, by his father Robert Brown Sr.; (3)three sisters Katie Ezell, Bobbie Easter, and Lorrine Landrum; (5) five brothers Robert Earl Smoot, Elijah Rancher, Timothy Rancher, John Brown, and John Lee Brown; (1) one granddaughter, Angel Ashford; maternal grandparents John and Annie Lee Bassett; a special cousin Lisa Clark. He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife, Caroline Brown of (7) years (Heidelberg, MS); to this union no children was born, but he gained (5) stepdaughters. He leaves to cherish his loving mother, Mary Ruth Bassett Rancher (Meridian, MS); (2) two sisters, Annie Ruth Rew (Meridian, MS) and Hazel Merritt (Akron, Ohio); (2) two brothers, Jimmy Brown (Stone Mountain, GA) and Charles Brown (Meridian, MS); (6) sons, Anthony Lewis (Atlanta, GA), Anthony Brown Jr. (Brittani) Meridian, MS, Gary Rush (Meridian, MS), Anthony Brown (Meridian, MS), Elijah Brown (Livingston, AL), and Jonathan White (Columbus, Ohio); (5) daughters, Stella Patton Goins (Bobby) Meridian, MS, JaToya Patton (Riverdale, GA), Sheena Patton (Atlanta, GA), Yolanda Atterberry (Meridian, MS), and Laila Brown (Meridian, MS);(20) Twenty grandchildren; A Best Friend, Lilly Hudson; A host of special Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
