The son of Johnnie Charles McMillian and the late Catherine Deloise McMillian, Anthony was born in Columbus, OH on October 23, 1965. The first born of three boys, he evolved into a model son of which his parents took great pride, and an exemplary leader to his two younger brothers. As a young man, he received Christ into his life and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin County, OH With an inherent musical talent, acquired from his mother, Anthony developed a keen passion for music and instruments. While he learned to play the clarinet and lead guitar in high school, his gift and talents manifested themselves in a prodigy-like fashion through his masterful approach to playing the piano and organ, which he learned to play between the ages of six and nine. As biblically proclaimed in Proverbs 18: 16, ''A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men," Anthony soon became a highly sought after musician for local churches. He and his brother, Johnny Ray, who is skilled at playing drums, formed a high school band, wherein they spent many hours practicing and playing to enhance their musical skills. After graduating from Mifflin High School in 1984, he immediately answered the call to patriotic duty to defend Lady Liberty against all domestic and foreign threats to the preservation of democracy by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps where he served more than four years. A humble man with a heart of gold, Anthony was always willing to provide inspirational sources of hope and entrepreneurial advice to anyone to help them along the way. Anthony and former spouse, Brenda, had two children, Anthony Darius and Nikita Danielle, whom they adored. in 1994 Anthony met his wife, Ola McBeth, in Philadelphia, MS, and married on July 22, 1995, and subsequenfly relocated to Columbus, GA, where he began caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. As the owner and founder of A & 0 Group, Anthony and his wife provided direct care for individuals for nearly 19 years. While in Columbus, Anthony obtained his Bachelor of Theology Degree from Apex School of Theology, and later joined Macedonia Fellowship Ministries, Inc., under the leadership of Ernest Thompson, where he remained faithful in the discharge of Christian service and stewardship as an associate minister and devoted music leader until his health began to decline. Anthony was loved by his family, throughout his community, and among many friends and acquaintances.
