Mr. Anthony Pringle's Obituary
Staff Sergeant Anthony Pringle epitomized a life of honor, integrity, and service. His life has been filled with love for people, places and God's beautiful earth. He had a smile that would light up the room. Anthony was born on July 17, 1972 in Meridian, Mississippi as the oldest child to the union of the late Dewitt Pringle, Sr. and the late Joann Timmons Pringle. His son, Anthony Dewitt Pringle also preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age and later united with Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church where he was an active member serving in the security ministry. Anthony was raised in Meridian, Mississippi and -attended Meridian High School. He attended Meridian Community College where he graduated earning an associate degree in Business. He also excelled in basketball while attending college. Anthony's personality and determination led him to enlist in the United States Army where he served 24 distinguished years in the United States and abroad to include tours of duty in Germany, Korea, Iraq and Kuwait. He retired from active duty on September 30, 2015. Anthony had many close friends and associates. All who were acquainted with him knew his love for fishing, grilling, watching the Pittsburgh Seeders, Alabama football and cheering for LeBron James. Those who knew and loved Anthony will remember his undying spirit, generosity, strong will and devotion to his family. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Cynthia Pringle of Huntsville, AL; four daughters: Kimaka and Amaria Pringle of Birmingham, AL, Kiara Ravend of Hampton, VA, Kyandra Ravend of Huntsville, AL; one son: Kyle Pringle of Birmingham, AL; one sister: Cotina Pringle; one brother: Dewitt Pringle, Jr. of Meridian, MS; adopted mother: Willie Mae Ford of Meridian, MS; mother-in-law: Mary Maye; special aunts: Bernice (Ben) Fountain, Fannie Kemp all of Georgiana, AL; special uncle: Joe Maye, Sr. of Aberdeen, MD; sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Larry) Duncan of Columbus, OH; Dr. Carolyn Palmer-Benion of Fairview Park, OH; Debra Scott of Georgiana, AL, Wanda Womack, Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Christian of Huntsville, AL, Darleen (Archie) Brown of Prattville, AL, T ewonda (Thomas) Aker of Durham, NC; brothers-in-law: Eric (Vemessa) Edwards of Huntsville, AL, Isiah (Chancey) Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and a devoted pet: Rocky; special friends: Lazonia Carter and Stephanie Brookshire, and Ralph Langford all of Huntsville, AL. While we will surely miss Anthony and long for him to be with us again, we take comfort in knowing that he's reunited with his mother, father, and son to whom he was truly devoted, and is in the divine presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
