Mr. Arthur Brown, Jr.'s Obituary
Arthur Brown, Jr. was one of eleven children born to the late Bertha and Earl Brown on October 16, 1927, in Stonewall, Mississippi. Arthur received an honorable discharge from the Army in 1946. Afterwards, he became employed with Burlington Industries for 40 years where he retired. In 1968, he united in holy matrimony to Lois Moody of Quitman, MS, whom preceded him in death. Arthur was a member of Little Zion A.M.E. church where he served as a Trustee. His favorite past times included fishing and watching baseball. He was known as "Jr." to some and "Brown Skin Willie" to others. On April 17, 2017, God called Mr. Arthur Brown to rest. Everlasting memories include: a loving & devoted son, Paul (Yulunda Allen) Anthony Brown of Shubuta, MS; dedicated pt cousin & care taker, Katherine (Howard) Stewart of Stonewall, MS; Sister-in-law Lannie Moody of Quitman, MS; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Arthur was preceded in death also by siblings: Silas K. Brown, Katherine Brown, Willie Franklin Brown, James E. Brown, Vera Redd, Reba White, Jessie Davis, Mary Davis, and Tommy Davis.
