Mr. Arthur Carter's Obituary
On October 5, 1954 Arthur Carter was born to Eugene and Emma Watson Carter. He was the last born of four children. Arthur attended Meridian High School and graduated in the class of 1972. He attended Meridian Community College and participated in their commercial truck driving school. Arthur met and married Sylvia Price and to the union was born three beautiful daughters Rachael "Mignonne", Ashley, and Stephanie. He was employed over the years by United Parcel Service and Yellow Freight. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends and cleaning his car. In his adult life he joined The Historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church where he attended with his daughters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma, father Eugene, Sr. and sisters Ethel Dancy and Estelle lewis. Arthur is survived by and leaves to cherish his loving memories a wife Sylvia Price Carter of Meridian, MS, Three daughters Rachel (Tommie) Dunnigan, of Pensacola, Fl., Ashley (Lonnie) Phipps, of Meridian, MS and Stephanie Carter of Waynesboro, MS. Arthur also leaves one brother Eugene (Minnie) Carter, Jr. of Meridian, MS; one sister in law Ora Turner of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers in law Willie Lewis of Macon, GA and John Otis Price of Panama City, Fl.; eight grandsons, seven granddaughters, one great grandson and a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
