Mr. Augustine "OB" Battle's Obituary
Elder Augustine Battle was born January 1, 1954 to Mr. Plummer Battle, Sr. and Mrs. Ola Battle. He departed this life on December 8, 2020. Elder Battle was born into the Pentecostal Church of God under the administration of Bishop Eugene Rice. He faithfully served under the administration of Bishop Marcela Evins, Bishop Andrew Stephens and his assistant Bishop Keith Tisdale. Elder Battle was a dedicated servant who loved the Lord and God's people. He helped with building the Andrew Stephens PCG Life Center and he help with the construction of several churches in the District. He also worked faithfully in the Meridian Public School District until his health failed. He was loved by many especially, his children and grandchildren. Elder Battles was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories a faithful wife, Cynthia Battles; three children: Tippoor RoShawn Battle (Gaylyn) Taherra Battle and, Trenton Battle (Khendal); three grandchildren: Taihyah, Tyler and Teaqan "Lou Lou", whom he loved dearly; four brothers: William Battle, Donald Battle, Plummer Battle, Jr., and Willie Lee Battle (Sherry); two sisters: Delphine Macklin and Beulan Hill Battle; two aunts: Shirley Jones and Dorothy Lee Battle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
