Mrs. Barbara Andrews' Obituary
Our beloved, Barbara Ann Andrews was born on December 26, 1963 to D.L. and Mattie Richardson.
She confessed Christ at the early age of 9 years old and joined New Jones Baptist Church. As a child, not only did Barbara enjoy riding bikes and fishing, but she also enjoyed baking cakes with her family and friends.
Barbara was educated and graduated from Livingston High School in 1982. She also attended and graduated from Moore Career College. She didn’t stop there. She furthered her education and attended Miles College. She began her workforce career at Prime Line, Inc. where she served faithfully for 28 years as an Executive in Sales.
Barbara was swept off her feet when she met her Prince Charming, Donnie Andrews. They later united in Holy Matrimony and along with her three (3) children, Raven, Emily, and Ashley, they became a blessed blended family. In her adulthood, Barbara began enjoying life to the fullest as much as she possibly could. She loved to go to church, travel, take vacations, and decorate for every holiday, especially her favorite holiday, Christmas.
January 11, 2022, God saw fit to step in Barbara’s home and whisper in her ear “well done thy good and faithful servant. Come unto me and take your rest for you have kept the faith and finished the course.” She answered his call and went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, D.L. Richardson and her daughter, Emily Foy.
Barbara leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving and devoted husband, Donnie Andrews; her children: Ashley Bradley and Raven Foy; her mother, Mattie Richardson; her grandmother, Mary Gee; three devoted sisters: Annette Richardson (her caregiver until her demise), Arnetter Moore and Kathy Lockett; one brother, J.C. Lacy; two special nephews: Israel Moore and Joseph Moore; two special friends: Zipporah Morris and Timothy Payne; a host of aunts, aunts, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.
