Ms. Barbara Smith Coleman's Obituary
Barbara Y. Jones Coleman was born on March 10, 1967 to the late J. C. McMillian and Patricia Sims-Barron in Meridian, MS. She is preceded in death by her first husband Theodore Jones, parents and grandparent, one sister Leverne McMillian and one niece, Tashea (Cee Cee) Sims. Barbara was a loyal and dedicated employee of East Mississippi State Hospital for 22 years until her health failed. She also worked for Alliance Mental Health. Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Te 'Anthony "Boogie" Jones; a foster daughter, Maria Landrum; four grandchildren, Ta'Quarius Jones, Brelyan Jones, Khloe Jones, and Kylie Jones all of Meridian, MS; one sister, Sharon (John) Grace of Meridian, MS; two brothers, Adrian Wayne McMillian of Los Angeles, CA and Jason Price of Meridian, MS; one grandmother, Callie Mae Sims of Meridian, MS; two nieces LaKima Sims and Jada Price both of Meridian, MS.
Barbara also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, close family members, lifelong friends: Mia Sims, Betty Allen, Sharon Scott (Yolk) and Sonya Hearn; best friends, Stacy Malone, Glory Daniels, Katra Boston, Lesia Tyson and Bertha Gaddis Blanks and the many coworkers from East Mississippi State Hospital and Alliance Mental Health that she encountered along her journey here on Earth.
