Miss Barbara A. Trotter's Obituary
On February 6, 1956, Barbara Ann Trotter was born to the late Luther Trotter Sr. and Annie Laura Trotter in Meridian, MS. Barbara was the fourth of eight children. She is preceded in death by her parents and two nephews. She attended Meridian Public Schools, (Class of 1974). Barbara was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Trisha and Tracy. After high school, Barbara worked at Northwood Country Club before moving to Chicago where she lived for many years. After leaving Chicago she returned to Meridian for a while and was employed by Squealers Barbeque. Barbara later moved to Savannah, GA to be near her oldest daughter and grandchildren. While in Savannah she worked at Parkers Convenience Store. Barbara decided home was where she wanted to be and moved back to Meridian. Barbara had a caring spirit which others saw, and had her to care for their loved ones in their time of need. She was a loving caretaker of her parents during their time of illness as well. Barbara’s journey of life ended on December 25, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Trisha Antoinette Trotter and Tracy Michelle Carter, both of Meridian, MS. Grandchildren: Cierra Spells, Jonesboro GA, Quadarius Trotter, Jacquis Houston, Shatia Houston, and Trayana Carter, all of Meridian, MS. Siblings: Luther Trotter Jr. (Lafretta), Jacksonville, FL, Willie L. Trotter (Shirley), Meridian, MS, Raymond E. Trotter, Killen TX, Robert E. Trotter (Lydia), Jimmy L. Trotter, Linda S. Trotter, all of Meridian, MS, and Gloria Burkes (Robert), Katy TX. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
