Barnie Jean Clark O'Brien, also known as Nina, was born February 22, 1942 to the late Barney and Earlean (Roberts) Clark in Blackwater, Mississippi. Nina accepted Christ at an early age. After graduating high school, Nina moved to Manhattan, New York. Nina was united in holy matrimony to Carlysle O'Brien on June 26, 1965. In September 1971, Nina and her husband moved to Meridian, Mississippi. She and her husband joined Galilee Baptist Church and became active members. There she enjoyed serving God, singing and assisting others with numerous church and community activities. She also participated at other churches to include St. Elizabeth Church with singing, praise and worship. Nina worked at Savings and Loan Bank where she connected with multitudes of people. She then worked for Meridian Public School Cafeteria Services as a manager. Here she mentored, encouraged and assisted children and staff through song or words of encouragement to better enhance their future. Over the years, she has cared for her family, others family members, friends and children. She always had a smile on her face and never complained.
