Mr. Barry McCaleb's Obituary
Barry McCaleb was born on August 10, 1959 to the late Odie L. and Lillian Foster McCaleb, the sixth child born to this union. Barry attended the Meridian Public School District, and was a 1978 graduate of Meridian High School. After graduating, he began employment in the sanitation department with the City of Meridian, a position he held for seven years. He then changed departments and became a truck driver for the next thirty-three years where he worked tirelessly until he retired in 2018. Barry loved all sports, especially baseball, basketball, and track. He also loved to ride his bike and watch wrestling. On Monday, June 19, 2023, God dispatched his angels to usher Bany McCaleb to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by parents, Lillian and Odie McCaleb; two sisters, Lorraine Hearn and Dorothy Grady; one niece, Cachita Winfield; great nephew, David McCaleb; great-great niece, Kaydence Laphand; sister in law, Carolyn Thompson Smith; and.two brothers in law, Chan Hearn and Darrell Anderson. He leaves to forever cherish his memory: his loving wife, Rebecca McCaleb; three daughters: Renita McCaleb, Sharina McCaleb and Chantal McCaleb; one son: Barry McCaleb; seven grandchildren: Ro 'Quandrey McCaleb, Ja'Tayzeyah McCaleb, Ja 'Quavion Perrien, Khairi McCaleb, Kemarrion McCaleb, Braylin McCaleb and Justin McCaleb; one brother: Gregory McCaleb (Pearl); four sisters: Lillie Anderson, Patricia McFarland (George), Cassandra Jennings (Robert), and Marion Hughes (Tony), and a host of other relatives and friends.
