Mrs. Bernice Hill's Obituary
Bernice Hill was born on October 30, 1930 in Morton, Mississippi, to the late Lorena Thomas and Lonnie Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age at Sherman Hill Methodist Church in Scott County, Mississippi. In January, 1955, she united in holy matrimony to the late Jammie Hill and to this union ten children were born. For many years she worked at Northwood Country Club. After she retired, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She loved cooking and sewing and visiting garage sales on the weekends. Mother Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Jammie Hill, and one son, James Tyrone. On Sunday, May 7, 2023, Mother Bernice Hill transitioned from her earthly life int,o the presence of God's bosom to rest. She leaves a legacy of love to be cherished by her children: Mary Gray, Debroah (Douglas). Ferrill, Rita Hill, and Richard Hill all of Meridian, MS, Janice Jenkins of Jackson, MS, Betty Anderson of Huntsville, AL, Michael Hill of Cincinnati, OH, Michelle Malone of Pensacola, FL, and Katrina (Charles) Sampson of Huntsville, AL; 33 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
