Mrs. Bernice T. Campbell Reed's Obituary
Bernice T. Campbell Reed was born on November 25, 1958 to the late William "Bill" and Annie M. Thedford in Kemper County, MS. She united in holy matrimony to Lester Reed on May 30, 2010. She graduated from East Kemper High School in 1976 where she played guard on the ladies basketball team and was a member of the Library Club. She received her Bachelors Degree from the Mississippi University for Women in 1979. She united with Tamola Church of God and served faithfully in various capacities until her death. She served as the Chairman of the Financial Committee, Pastoral Advisory Committee, Board of Directors, choir member, worked with Outreach, The Youth and Program committee. Bernice worked 40+ years at Multi-County Community Service Agency with the last 38 years as an Accountant. She retired due to health issues in September, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lester Reed; her only daughter, Tresi Larnice Campbell (William Rhoney); one step daughter, Joslyn Reed; one sister, Barbara Smith; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Barnes, Delores Jenkins Harrison, Brenda Warbington; three brothers-in-Jaw, Robert Reed, James Barnett, and Michael (Mahogany) Barnett; and mother-in-law, Nettie P. Barnett, all of Meridian, MS; two uncles, Luther James Boyd and Frank Handley of Lauderdale, MS; three aunts, Ida Mae Boyd and Lula Bell Thedford of Kemper County, MS and Lillie Mae Sawyer of Detroit, MI; nieces, Deborah (Robert) Portis, Kimberly (Michael) Matthews, Tinika Thedford, Tikisha Thedford; nephews, William (Jessica) Thedford, Cordell (Asia) Thedford and Jacorey Thedford (Brianna Grace); 2 special daughters, Elbony Shari' Henderson (Jimmy McMillian) and Donqueshia Lard; I special granddaughter, Rozyria Brown; great nieces and nephews; special friends, Jackie (George) Robinson, Essie Williams, Mary Brooks, Angela Hicks, Alva Houston and Arthur Nelson; host of cousins, friends and church family. Bernice was proceeded in death by her two brothers, William and Eugene Thedford.
