Mrs. Bessie Mae Hopson's Obituary
Bessie Mae Hopson was born o March 10, 1960, in Lauderdale, Mississippi to Judge, Sr. and Gennie Mae Jimison. She had three sisters who preceded her in death: Katie Ree Jimison, Essie Ree Hubbard, and Lucille Mosley (who transitioned with her in less than a day).
Bessie graduated from East Kemper High School.
She was a member of the Mt. Cephus Primitive Baptist Church and she loved helping in any way she could. She loved her church family and pastor.
On April 17, 1977, she married Arthur James Hopson, and they were married for 45 years. They had three children from this union.
Bessie was the best mother in the world to her children. She would do whatever was needed for her family and friends. She was such a loving person who always put others before herself. She was the type of person you just wanted to be around so she could love on you.
She is survived by: her husband: Arthur James Hopson; three children: Cynthia (William) Spencer, Arthur (Betty) Hopson and Tekelia (Fred) Avery; her siblings: Mary Bramlett, Elizabeth Sillimon, Judge, Jr. (Annie) Jimison, Freeman Jimison, Johnny Jimison, Robert (Ruby) Jimison, Tommie Jimison, Kenneth (Veronica) Jimison, Jacqueline Clark and Reniece Walker; eight grandchildren: Zanqueria Spencer, Gabriel Spencer, Adrian Hopson, Asia Hopson, William Spence IV, Averi Hopson, TaKaliyha Landrum and Alexis Landrum; four great-grandchildren: Caden Clay, Aiden Williams, Demati Williams, and Decari Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
