Mrs. Betty Lou Bartee's Obituary
Betty Lou Bartee was born on June, 17, 1938 to the union of the late Frank and DelithaJohnson. The Lord decided to call his child home to be with him on Sunday, July 25, 2021 surrounded by her family at her side at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, one grandchild and one great grandchild. Betty joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and served as a faithful member until her health declined. Betty had an excellent spirit which electrified all those who knew her. She was an avid reader. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She was a very humble and loving woman. She was soft spoken with a heart of gold and a caring person to all whom she encountered. Betty leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband; Emmit J. Bartee, Jr., four children; Rickey (Patsy) Johnson, Sharon (Rodney) Talley, Tobey (Lynnita) Bartee and Emmit (Felicia) Bartee. Brothers and sisters; Frank Johnson, Jr., Betsy Mitchell, Elijah Johnson, Rosa Allen, Charlie (Ina) Johnson, Robert Johnson, Lillie Williams, Lottie Johnson, Bobby Johnson and Patricia (Cleo) St. Romain. Betty had a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will miss her dearly.
