Mrs. Betty H. Chamberlain's Obituary
As the evening hours commenced on May 21, 2024, the Angel of Obedience swayed through the corridors of Baptist Anderson Hospital, Meridian, MS, and entered the room of Betty H. Chamberlain. In the twinkling of a second, He slipped an invitation under her pillow; the golden inscription immediately illuminated in holiness revealing it's contents:
"Betty H. Chamberlain, the Magistrate of Grace and Mercy has requested your presence in the New Jerusalem. You will enter into the realm of unimaginable joy and perpetual care."
Betty H. Chamberlain was born June 16, 1953 to the late Joe Lewis and Lizzie Ree Hill in Meridian, Mississippi. She received her formal education in the Meridian Public School District. For many years, she was a valued employee at Rush Foundation Hospital before retiring from East Mississippi State Hospital in August 2011.
Betty was a woman of faith. She loved God and loved worshiping Him.
She rededicated her life to Christ and strived daily to live as a devoted servant.
Betty enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, playing softball, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a giver, always giving to those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Irvin Chamber-lain, Sr., and three siblings, Willie Hill, Ceola Brown and Charles Hill.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by her four beautiful children, Donald Cameron (Sally) of Louisville, KY, Bernard Cameron (LaWanda) of Nashville, IN, Kimberly Cameron and Irvin Chamberlain, Jr., both of Meridian, MS; her sister, Molly Hill of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Johnny Hill of Meridian, MS; a special niece, Gloria Jean Kirkland of Atlanta, GA; special cousin, Faye Overstreet of Atlanta, GA; special friend, Elder C. White of Meridian, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
