Mrs. Betty Jean Franklin's Obituary
Betty Jean Franklin was born on March 8, 1940, in Meridian, 1 Mississippi to the late William & Rosie Butchee. Betty was the third child out of five children born to this union. Mrs. Betty gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined her family church, Mt. Valley Baptist Church. She stayed a member here for a long time until joining New Light Independence Baptist Church. She attend Weschler Junior High School. After finishing school Betty worked as a housekeeper at Holiday Inn for many years and then moved to working in private homes. She was joined in matrimony with Willie Franklin. From this union seven children were born. Betty moved to her heavenly home on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Anderson Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William & Rosie Butchee; her grandparents; four Aunts and five uncles; Daughter-in-Law Ellen Marie Franklin (deceased on August 12). Betty Jean Franklin leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Willie Franklin; children, Robert Earl Franklin (Meridian, MS), Edna(Lois) Franklin-Stennis (St. Charles, MO), Willie James Franklin (Meridian, MS), Loretta Franklin (Meridian, MS), Donald (Sandra) Franklin (Plano, TX), Terry Franklin (Nashville, TN), Kenny Franklin (Meridian, MS); three sisters Larzonia Kelly of Meridian, MS, Bobbie Dean and Maggie Carter both of Michigan; one brother William Butchee of Michigan; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
