Mrs. Bobbie L. Epson's Obituary
Bobbie Lois Epson was born on January 13, 1939 to the late Evelyn M Jimison and Robert Evans in Hickory, MS. Bobbie Lois was educated through Hickory Schools in Hickory, MS and graduated from Hickory High School Class of 1958. Later on, she moved to San Francisco, California where she received her certification to become a Certified Nurses Aide. Bobbie Lois accepted Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. After relocating to San Francisco, California, she joined New Strangers, Home Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles Estes. Her employment tenure began in San Francisco at Laguna Honda Hospital as a Nursing Aide. She was a faithful employee for 36 years until she retired in 2000. In 2001, she moved back home to Mississippi where she resided until her earthly life was completed. After moving back to Mississippi, she joined Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Chunky, MS under the leadership of Rev. Daron Owens. She was a faithful member until her health began to decline. Bobbie Lois was one who had a humble spirit and a heart of gold. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with and her presence was a joy to all. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved to go shopping at the Emporium, eating brealifast with her co-workers and friends at Lyons, cooking on holidays and BBQ on the grill for the 4th of July. Giving God all the Glory, Honor and Praise for life,family andfriends was the sunshine in her life. Her favorite gospel songs she loved to hear were "Because He Lives" and "He Made A Way". June 19, 2023, Bobbie Lois departed this earthly life to move to her Heavenly home leaving behind those she loved dearly and all the sins of this world. She was preceded t in death by her parents; three (3) brothers: Robert Evans, Tony Evans and Charles Evans.
Bobbie Lois leaves to honor her legacy and cherish her memories her children: Derek Evans of Pacifica, California, Charlayne Hall and Christopher Hall both of Meridian, MS; grandchildren: Tiffany Evans, Adrina Hali, Tamera Hamel, Indica Hall, Nikitah Hall, Sylvia Fletcher (Lawrence), and Jasmin Cole; 9 great grandchildren; one (1) brother: Ken Evans of Clinton, Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom were near and dear to her heart; a very special friend for many years, Florence Cole of Chunky, MS. Bobbie Lois will truly be missed by all who loved and cared for her.
