Mrs. Bobbie Jean Seals' Obituary
A Sweet Spirit was born on December 10, 1942 to the late Willie Bilbo and Carrie Lee Jemison Clayton, and she was -given the name of Bobbie Jean Clayton better known by all as "Miss Bobbie." Her godly life ended on July 11, 2017 as she was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There are three steps to heaven: out of self, into Christ and into Glory. Miss Bobbie took these first two steps, and she lived a Christ filled life which was revealed throughout the community. Now, she has taken the third step where she is smiling with that "Immaculate Smile" which is even larger than when she was on this side of heaven with us. We know that she is satisfied now in her current state and that she is reaping her great reward reserved for the faithful as herself. She confessed Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age in life and united with Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lockhart, Mississippi. As a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she served as a faithful trustee for many years until her last day. She exemplified the upmost dedication to her church and pastor, Reverend Willie West. Her dedication extended to the degree that even after Mt. Zion burned and even after the church membership had to relocate their worship services to other churches such as Galilee Baptist Church, she continued to serve as a trustee of Mount Zion Baptist church until her last day of life. She united in holy matrimony to Clinton Seals of Marion, Mississippi and enjoyed many blissful years of marriage. She attended the Lauderdale County School System where she was later employed for thirty (30) dedicated years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Bilbo and Carrie Lee Clayton; her husband, Clinton Seals; her two sisters, Eva Clayton Walk and Macy Clayton Burton and her three brothers, Johnnie William Clayton, Joe Willie Clayton and Billy Clayton. She leaves to cherish a Sweet Spiritual and Loving Legacy her two sons, Johnny Lee (Bridgett McDade) Clayton .and Lee Arthur (Janet Greer) Clayton; three granddaughters, Trisha (Travis) Blakney Reed of Meridian, Mississippi, Dr. Jabrina Nicole Clayton (Dr. Marcus) Edwards of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Tiera Cemone' Smith of Meridian, Mississippi; one grandson, J.~shua Chancellor Clayton of Jackson, Mississippi; five great grandchildren, Madison Nicole Reed, LaTravis Shontell Reed, Jr., -Trenton Xavier Reed, Mallory Latrice Reed and De' Ziriah Nevaeha Rowe of Meridian, Mississippi; one sister Rosie Clayton Jones of Meridian, Mississippi; four sisters-in-law and a host ofnieces, nephews and cousins.
