Mr. Bobby Joe Johnson's Obituary
Bobby was born March 6, 1951 to Abraham and Furleaner Johnson in Meridian, MS. The sun set on Bobby November 4, 2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
Bobby was born and raised in Meridian, MS. Bobby attended Kate Griffin Junior High School in Meridian.
During his lifetime, Bobby was gainfully employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and as a retail associate. He spent a short time in the military. Bobby’s most beloved jobs was a carpenter and painter. He was a great carpenter and there was very little he could not build by hand.
March of 1986 Bobby united in matrimony with Stephanie Johnson. This union lasted 35 years until he departed . Three children were born into this union. Bobby was blessed to be the stepfather to Stephanie’s five children whom he loved and treated as his own.
Bobby was preceded in death by: his grandparents, his grandparents, Abraham and Furleaner; sisters: Fredna and Dessie Ruth; and stepdaughter, Tamika.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Stephanie Johnson of Meridian, MS; sons: Bobby Johnson and Adrian Johnson, both of Meridian, MS; Sonny Windham of Collinsville, MS; daughters: Tonyanica Brimmer of New Orleans, LA; Lakishia Johnson of California; and Bahtyah Johnson of Meridian, MS; stepchildren: Darryl (Felicia) Hampton, Tabitha Hampton, Hoshaiah Hampton, Demetrious (Catrina) Hampton, all of Meridian, MS; brothers: Jessie (Annie Ruth) McCoy of Flint, MI; Abraham (Betty) Johnson of Meridian, MS; sisters: Carol Johnson, Linda Newell and Lisa Griffin all of Meridian, MS; Joe Anne (Robert) Rollings of Meridian, MS; Beverly (Charles) Patrick of Crestview, FL; 20 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
