Our angel, Brenda McClellan Brown was born on June 11, 1956 to Earlie Eugene McClellan and Betty Jean Croff Brenda was a product of Newton County and Newton Municipal School System. She attended Hickory School in Hickory, MS until the school closed and was transferred to Newton High School. She was a member of the Class of 1975. Brenda was always the type who believed in working and providing for her family the best way she possibly could. She was employed with Newton Company where she was a Serger for many years until the company closed. After the closing of Newton Company, she was employed with Fred's Dollar Store in Newton until her health began to fail. Although her health was beginning to decline, she still did what she could to help her family and others as much as she possibly could. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined with Truelight Missionary Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member of Truelight until the closing of the church and her health started declining. She loved attending church with her Mom. Everywhere and anytime the church doors were open, you can count on Brenda and her Mom being there to support and lift up the name of Jesus. Growing up, Brenda enjoyed playing sports such as softball and basketball. She also enjoyed other hobbies during her spare time. She enjoyed playing checkers, crossword puzzles and putting things together. She also enjoyed cutting grass as well. Not only would she cut her grass, but she would cut others as well who needed her to do so. She had a heart pure as gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved spending ,,time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren anq, great-grandchildren.
