Ms. Brenda Carolyn Hopson's Obituary
Brenda C. Hopson was born on December 19,1967 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Willie Thomas and Annie Ruth Hopson. She attended Quitman School and graduated in 1987. She worked at Darts Inc. until her health began to fail. Brenda accepted Christ and joined Pearlie Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. As a faithful member she served as an usher and active choir member. She was dedicated and committed to service in Gods house whenever called upon. Brenda was always a gracious host and had a passion for wonderful parties and showing support for her father’s legacy softball teams in Stonewall. Brenda’s greatest love was for her children and family. She battled cancer for 9 long years and even at her weakest moments she praised her Heavenly Father, celebrated life, helped her friends, never bending or giving place to the devil. “God saved his toughest battles for his strongest soldiers.” She was the champion of her battle because God is the captain of her soul. She leaves to cherish her memories: Mother, Annie Hopson, Stonewall, MS; One (1) daughter, Karichsia Brendyatta Hopson; Three (3) sons; Al’Darius Breslin Hopson, Dan’Tavis Le’Quan Hall, De’Rikus De’Quan Hall; all of Stonewall, MS; Five (5) sisters; Lois Holmes, Geraldine Hopson Gordon, Quitman, MS; Viola Shantell Hopson, Stonewall, MS; Shelia Hopson Keeler (Jerald Keeler), Brandon, MS; Latena Sharon Hopson, Quitman, MS; One (1) brother; Wayne Marvin Watkins (Vera Watkins), East St Louis; Four (4) nephews and eight (8) nieces; Three (3) god-daughters.
