Mr. Byron Dale McQuarters, Jr.'s Obituary
Into each life some sun will shine and some rain must fall. The sun shined on May 18, 1989, when Byron Dale McQuarters, Jr. was born to Byron D. McQuarters, Sr. and Eloise Darden McQuarters. The rain fell upon the family on April 28, 2025
when he departed this life at Ochsner Rush Hospital.
Byron began his spiritual journey at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death.
Byron was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a bright, young man who was full of life. He was a member of the Beta Club and National Junior Honor Society. He began electrical classes at Ross Collins before graduating from Meridian High School in 2007. He continued his studies through Meridian Community College where he obtained his license as a residential and light commercial wiring and utility lineman. While working at Woodall Electric, Inc, he continued his education, earning his unlimited contractor license. He worked for several companies while being employed with the IBEW. After
receiving his Master Electrician license, Byron was also able to complete a job assignment at the White House in Washington, DC. After leaving DC, he was sent to multiple places including Phoenix, AZ, Arkansas, Tennessee, New Mexico and various other places. Byron continued higher learning by earning a Bachelor of Science and Electrical Engineering degree from Mississippi State University. He also received several certifications including a Certified Electrical Inspector, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP), Osha 10, and Osha 30.
Byron lived a rather impressive life, one full of dedication and hard work, all while balancing school, and working different assignments. He loved playing basketball, traveling, jet skiing, and boat rides. He loved music, singing, and dancing. He also loved having cookouts and spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Janiya.
