Byron Aundre Smith was born October 1, 1957 to Ernest Sr. and Willie Mae Williams Smith in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age and would demonstrate his love for God throughout his life at the Houlka Second Baptist Church.
While Byron spent his early years in Pontotoc, he was mostly educated in the Meridian Public School District, graduating from Meridian High School in 1975. After high school, he entered the workforce, exploring a multitude of skills. During his time in Huntsville, Alabama, Byron spent many years in the hospitality and manufacturing industries until his health declined.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his extended family, fishing, watching sports, and holding spirited debates on a range of topics. He would often reminisce about his experiences in Pontotoc with his favorite cousins and grandparents.
On Friday, July 4, 2025, Byron transitioned this life to great Heavenly reward. He is precede in death by his father, Ernest Smith Sr.; his mother, Willie Mae Smith; and his sister, Cynthia Gayle Stennis.
