Ms. Canesha Roshae Sims' Obituary
Canesha Roshae Sims was born June 3, 1977, in Meridian, MS, to William H. Perry, Jr. and Laverne Sims-Perry. She attended 31st Avenue Baptist Church in her early years, and as an adult, she joined New Vision House of God Faith Center until she moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Canesha graduated with honors from Meridian High School in 1995. She furthered her education at Rust College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and also graduated summa cum laude. While Canesha attended Rust College, she became a dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta, Inc. She taught chemistry for a few years in Ohio as well as receiving recognition for her many contributions and accomplishments. Canesha departed this life on Sunday, January 31, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her great-great grandmother, Elizabeth Castle, one (1) great-grandmother, Mildred Clark, one (1) grandmother, Margaret Perry, and one (1) grandfather, Johnny Lee Sims. Canesha leaves to cherish her memories her father, William H. Perry, Jr.; a loving mother, Laverne Sims-Perry; four ( 4) sisters: Carolyn (Walter-Deceased) Johnson, Saundra (Fred) Warren, Margaret (Lenray) Jones, and Natasha Warren; two (2) brothers-Anthony (Toneka) Sims and Markquise Henderson; one (2) grandmothers Callie Mae Sims; and one (1) grandfather William H. (Mary) Perry, Sr; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
